ONTARIO, Calif. --
A gunman holding a man at gunpoint was shot to death when his victim broke free and fought back in Ontario on Wednesday, police said. Police responded to Shippers West in the 4000 block of East Guasti Road just after 1 p.m. after receiving a call from a man who said he had just shot a gunman who had bound him and held him at gunpoint.
When authorities arrived, they found 48-year-old Fabio Rojas suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene.
The victim told police he was able to break free and wrestle the gun away from Rojas, who was shot during the struggle.
