South L.A. pedestrian killed by hit-and-run

SOUTH LOS ANGELES Tyrone L. Jones was crossing the street at about 10:30 p.m. when the fatal collision occurred.

Police said the 39-year-old was hit by a green Chevy Lumina. Investigators believe the suspect was driving south on Broadway toward 91st Street when Jones was struck.

Officers located the car, but they're still searching for the driver.
