Police say Kadlec entered the Garden Room Chapel located at 12777 Knott Street in Garden Grove during a 2007 reception and pretended to be a wedding guest. He then carried out the theft, police said.
Garden Grove Police Lt. Travis Whitman said though the chapel had an "excellent video surveillance system," a recent tip led investigators to the alleged thief. The tip came after authorities release the suspect's image to the media.
Police are now looking into whether Kadlec may have committed similar thefts in the area.
