'Office Creeper' strikes Miracle Mile district

Los Angeles police detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying the so-called 'Office Creeper' who entered a Miracle Mile office building and walked out with a large amount of U.S. and Euro currency.

Calling him the 'Office Creeper,' Los Angeles police detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying a grand-theft suspect who targeted a business in the Miracle Mile district.On Tuesday, the suspect walked through a busy office building located on the 5700 block of Wilshire Boulevard where he gained access to a large amount of U.S. and Euro currency. The suspect grabbed the currency, then casually walked out of the building undetected.

Police described the suspect as a black male, bald, 40 to 50 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 230 pounds. The suspect was seen wearing a red and white checkered shirt and black pants, and carrying a black plastic shopping bag.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to call detectives at the LAPD Wilshire Burglary Detectives Nate Hampton or Jennifer Lee at (213) 473-0557 or (213) 922-8205. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls may be directed to (877) LAPD-24-7. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
