Garden Grove bicyclist injured in hit-and-run

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. Just before 1 a.m., Garden Grove police were sent to the intersection and found a 53-year-old man lying on the ground near his bicycle. The victim was bleeding from the head and face. Fire personnel took him to the hospital where he was also treated for a broken leg and facial lacerations.

Police say the bicyclist was going north on Magnolia when he was struck by a vehicle probably heading east on Chapman.

There are no witnesses to the accident, however a small red vehicle was seen leaving the area. It is unknown at this time if that vehicle was involved.
