Arcadia school worker arrested for child sex

George Armenta, 36, was arrested Thursday on multiple counts of engaging in sexual acts with a minor. Armenta is currently employed by the Arcadia Unified School District.

An Arcadia Unified School District employee was arrested Thursday on multiple counts of engaging in sex with a minor.George Armenta, 36, was arrested on two counts of oral copulation with a minor under 16 and one count of sodomy with a minor under 18.

The victim came forward in March and reported to the Chino Hills Police Department that from approximately 1999 to 2004, he was sexually involved with Armenta. The victim, now 25, was under the age of 18 at the time of the alleged molestation and was attending a local high school in Chino Hills. The victim was a member of the color guard team.

Armenta worked at various high schools in and around Chino Hills where he was actively involved in the color guard team.

Starting from when the victim was 15 or 16 years old until he was 17, Armenta allegedly engaged in various sex acts with him in Chino Hills as well as the suspect's residences in Los Angeles County.

After an extensive investigation by the Chino Hills Police Department, Armenta was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center.

Armenta was being held on $50,000 bail, but was subsequently released on bail.

The suspect currently works as a color guard choreographer for the Arcadia Unified School District. Detectives are concerned that there may be additional victims. If you have any information regarding this case, you're urged to contact Chino Hills police at (909) 364-2061.
