McNuggets lover sentenced to 60 days

Melodi Dushane, 24, appeared in Judge Linda Jennings' courtroom this afternoon.

You may remember this incident happened on New Year's Day. Around 6 a.m. she ordered McNuggets at a McDonald's on Main and, when the clerk told her they don't serve nuggets for breakfast, Dushane became furious.

Instead of ordering something else, police say Dushane punched the drive-thru clerk. She also tried to punch the manager, but witnesses say the manager grabbed Dushane by the hair and proceeded to pull her through the drive-thu window. The manager then let her go. Dushane then shattered the drive-thru window.

Today Dushane apologized to the court and her attorney said she suffers from panic atacks and on the night in question, she had too much alcohol.

The judge sentenced Dushane to 60 days behind bars and three years probation. Dushane's attorney John McMahon said, "She honestly didn't remember doing it. When she saw the video, she had no clue. My initial interviews with her did not match up at all with what was on the tape. I don't think she was too shocked about what hapenned today. It could have been a lot worse."

Dushane also has to pay more than $1,500 to McDonald;s for the drive-thru damages.
