Man busted for smuggling 18 monkeys in shirt

MEXICO CITY, Mexico The tiny, endangered titi monkeys were mostly stuffed into pouches.

The man told police he originally packed the monkeys into a suitcase, but then worried they'd be hurt by the X-ray machine. So, he attached them to his girdle instead and tried to wear the monkeys as he passed through airport security.

The man, Roberto Cabrera, was arrested on charges of trafficking an endangered species. He had arrived to Mexico on a commercial flight from Lima, Peru on Friday, July 16.
