Suspects sought in Ventura stabbing

VENTURA, Calif. Officers were called to the 100 block of Santa Rosa Street about 3:50 a.m. There they discovered the victim, 28-year-old Jeffrey Johnson, a wanted parolee.

Johnson told investigators he had been involved in an altercation with three Hispanic men. He said he was knocked out in the fight. When he came to, he was walking in the area of Santa Rosa Street.

Johnson suffered a stab wound on his left side and a collapsed lung in the fight. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
