Police arrest 'Clark Kent Bandit' bank robber

WILMINGTON, LOS ANGELES The Daily Breeze reports that David Skelton, 48, was wearing light-colored glasses and a dark headband, the same items reportedly worn by the "Clark Kent Bandit" during one of the robberies.

Those glasses gave him the nickname, "Clark Kent," the fictional reporter who transforms himself into the comic book hero Superman.

Skelton was convicted of similar crimes in 1990 and 1997. At that time, he was reportedly known as the "Weak Eyes Bandit" because he wore thick glasses.
