Hollywood murder suspect gets 3 more charges

Alberd Tersargyan, 60, who pleaded not guilty to the March shooting death of 38-year-old Karine Hakobyan, has been charged with the 2008 killings of Hakobyan's husband and daughter.

The man who pleaded not guilty to the March murder of a woman in Hollywood has now been charged with the 2008 killings of her husband and daughter as well.Alberd Tersargyan, 60, was also charged with the Sunset Boulevard sniper shooting of a prostitute in early 2010. The three additional murder charges were filed Tuesday.

Karine Hakobyan, 38, was shot to death on March 26 at her apartment complex in the Little Armenia area of Los Angeles.

Hakobyan's 14-year-old daughter found her body in the complex's car port.

Tersargyan was arrested weeks later and charged with one count of murder with the special circumstance of lying in wait. He pleaded not guilty May 3.

In 2008, Hakobyan's 43-year-old husband Khachik Safaryan and their 8-year-old daughter Lusine were also found fatally shot in the same apartment.

Tersargyan was expected to be arraigned Wednesday, but a preliminary hearing has been postponed until Aug. 13.
