Brush fire burns 25 acres in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. Apple Valley Fire spokeswoman Jennifer Eisenbry said the blaze burned about 25 acres of heavy brush..

San Bernardino County firefighters attacked the flames from the air, making helicopter drops. Crews plan to mop up the flames overnight.

The fire started near the Lewis Center School and Highway 18. No structures were threatened and there was no report of any injuries to fire personnel or civilians.
