Investigators said Bonds threw the victim to the ground Monday morning as the victim was trying to get into his pickup truck. The victim then pulled Bonds out of his truck. A struggle ensued and Bonds escaped.
The suspect was arrested outside the mall on Winchester Road a short time later.
