Flight attendant takes baby from mother

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. The mother was trying to calm her screaming one-year-old on a Southwest Airlines flight from Dallas to Albuquerque when the flight attendant thought the mother slapped the baby and so took it from her.

She returned the child to the parents before the end of the flight.

When the plane landed police were waiting to investigate. After questioning the flight attendant, parents, witnesses and examining the baby they determined there were no signs of abuse.

The parents were not cited and left with their child.
