Dozens of Leopard sharks crowd Marina del Rey

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. Officials said there are 50 to 60 sharks in the water, but they're not aggressive. The sharks measure up to 5 feet long and they swim single file or in circles.

They've been in the /*Marina del Rey*/ area for about a month.

Experts think the sharks are females and their young who have found a safe place.

The sharks are common along the California coast and prefer flat, shallow, sandy bays.

Lifeguards are making sure onlookers don't bother the docile sharks.
