O.C. CHP chase ends in death of motorcyclist

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. The /*California Highway Patrol*/ said the 20-minute pursuit began just before 12:30 a.m. in San Clemente and ended south of La Paz Road in Laguna Hills.

The chase reached speeds of more than 100 miles an hour, with the suspect losing control of his motorcycle and crashing. He was declared dead at the scene.

Authorities have not yet said what sparked the pursuit. No further information is available at this time.
