2 asteroids to 'closely' pass Earth

LOS ANGELES The first asteroid is between 32 to 65 feet in size; the second is between 20 to 46 feet. The asteroids are on different orbits.

The first and largest asteroid will pass Earth at 2:51 a.m. PT Wednesday, according to /*NASA*/. The second asteroid will pass at 2:12 p.m. PT.

The first will travel past Earth about 154,000 miles away; the second will pass about 49,088 miles away.

Neither asteroid has a chance of striking Earth.

According to NASA, the asteroids should be observable with "moderate-sized amateur telescopes."
