OC gang members charged w/ conspiracy murder

ORANGE, Calif. Prosecutors say Joseph Baez, 26, Robert Riel, 31, Christian Galindo, 25, and Amour Villamar, 30, set up a meeting to buy drugs from Bernal Ezquivel Felix, a suspected dealer.

According to prosecutors, the four suspects drove up behind Felix, who was driving a white sedan on Oak Street in Orange, and shot him in the head.

Prosecutors say the four fled the scene empty-handed.

Villamar and Riel are in custody in state prison and are expected to be transferred to Orange County Jail for an arraignment date to be determined. Baez and Galindo are scheduled to be arraigned Friday.

Because they are charged with the special circumstance of murder during the commission of a robbery, all four defendants could be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
