The judge must give his approval before the fund can be distributed to victims of the crash.
Under terms of the settlement, both /*Metrolink*/ and Connex Railroad, the contractor that supplied its engineers, accept the maximum liability for the collision between the commuter train and a freight train.
The collision killed 25 people and injured more than 100. Investigators believe the Metrolink engineer was texting moments earlier and ran a red light.
