2 shot next to Crenshaw High School campus

CRENSHAW DISTRICT, LOS ANGELES Officers and L.A. City Fire Dept. personnel were called to the scene at 52nd Street and 11th Ave.

Two people were discovered shot at the scene.

The victims were transported to a local hospital.

One victim, a 17-year-old male, had his wrist grazed by a bullet. He was transported to a local hospital and treated for the non-life-threatening injury. He was released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon.

The second victim, 19, not a student, sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Neither shooting victim is a student at Crenshaw High.

The victims were not identified.

Police were seeking a suspect vehicle, described only as a red-colored vehicle. It was believed the shots were fired from the vehicle.

The Crenshaw High campus was locked down after the shooting, but students were expected to be released at the normal end-of-day time, according to the Los Angeles Unified School District.
