Girl, 8, escapes sexual assault in Calabasas

Authorities need the public's help tracking down a man who tried to sexually assault an 8-year-old girl in Calabasas. Police said she was able to run away from her attacker. Deputies said the girl was near an apartment complex in the 23600 block of Park Capri on Wednesday afternoon when a man tried to lure her to a secluded area.

Authorities said the suspect attempted to commit a sex crime against the girl, but she was able to run away.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old white man with sandy blond hair. He's about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs roughly 180 pounds. He was wearing tan shorts at the time.
