The FBI says Ziegler is believed to be responsible for several bank robberies in Chicago, Los Angeles County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County.
The latest robbery happened Tuesday afternoon at the Citibank on 10590 Baseline Road in Rancho Cucamonga.
Deputies saw the suspect leaving the bank and started to chase after him. The man jumped in his car and took off northbound on Haven Avenue. The pursuit continued on the 210 Freeway with speeds reaching more than 100 miles an hour.
The chase came to an end on the 210 Freeway at Cherry Avenue when two of the suspect's tires were flattened by spike strips.
When officers tried to arrest the man, he resisted and had to be Tasered.
Ziegler was eventually taken into custody.
