Burger joints vie for spot at O.C. airport

SANTA ANA, Calif. McDonald's is currently the only major fast food franchise operating at the airport, but the airport is adding a new terminal, making room for more restaurants.

The local owner of a Carl's Jr. franchise told The Orange County Register that he is looking to bid on a space.

The airport said McDonald's is also vying to keep its spot.

The /*Orange County*/ Board of Supervisors is expected to vote on the airport restaurants later this year.
