REDLANDS, Calif. --
A search is under way for a man who attempted to grab a 9-year-old Redlands girl as she walked home from school on Monday.The girl and her 7-year-old brother were walking near the intersection of Sixth Street and Colton Avenue around 2:30 p.m. when a man grabbed the girl by the shirt. Her brother was able to push the man away, and the two children ran home.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a gray backpack.
Redlands police believe the man is likely a transient. Officials combed the area where the girl was accosted, but they were unable to locate the suspect.
