Search efforts were focused in an area where 64-year-old Edward Rosenthal is thought to have been hiking.
Rosenthal, from /*Culver City*/, is known for brokering deals to sell historic downtown office and industrial buildings for conversion into condo or apartment buildings.
Authorities said Rosenthal was first reported missing on Sunday afternoon.
