Judge to decide on hold of L.A. zoo elephants

LOS ANGELES The judge said on Wednesday that the hearing will be on Oct. 25.

A 2007 lawsuit alleged that the zoo inadequately cared for elephants and that their enclosure was too small. It also claimed a new exhibit would be a waste of taxpayer money.

Currently there is only one elephant at the /*L.A. Zoo*/.
