Fugitive arrested hiding under Arrowhead home

LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif. Michael Vincent Gidney, 33, of Victorville, was booked on suspicion of felony domestic violence and vandalism.

Deputies were conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle belonging to another fugitive, 31-year-old Kimberly Griggs. When Griggs pulled into a home in the 1200 block of Aleutian Drive, Gidney started to walk out the doorway of the home.

When the suspect spotted a deputy, he went back inside the house. After searching for more than a half-hour, they found Gidney hiding under the house. Gidney was taken into custody without incident. An arrest warrant had been issued for the Victorville man for felony domestic violence and vandalism charges.

Griggs was also taken into custody. She had three traffic warrants and a warrant for theft in Orange County. Both Griggs and Gidney were booked at Big Bear Jail.
