Family mourns death of bullied, gay CA teen

TEHACHAPI, Calif. A memorial service was held for 13-year-old Seth Walsh in Tehachapi, just south of Bakersfield on Friday.

His family said he was picked on so much that he had to be home-schooled.

Then last month, Seth hanged himself.

His family said he was being taunted by some kids at a park that same day.

"The harassment and the teasing and the taunting just became too much," said Seth's grandmother, Judly Walsh.

"He was always smiling, he was always happy. He loved yellow, it was his favorite color," said Seth's grandfather, Jim Walsh.

Police interviewed some of the young people who taunted Seth the day he died, but they determined that their actions do not constitute a crime.
