'Muscle Shirt Bandit' hits several L.A. banks

The FBI and Los Angeles Police Department are trying to track down a bank robber known as the 'Muscle Shirt Bandit,' who has been linked to several robberies and attempted robberies in Santa Fe Springs and Los Angeles.

The FBI has joined local law enforcement to catch a bank robber known as the "Muscle Shirt Bandit," linked with one robbery and two attempted robberies in Santa Fe Springs and Los Angeles.Los Angeles Police Department officials said the robber struck three banks just minutes apart from each other.

He is linked with the robbery or attempted robbery of a Santa Fe Springs U.S. Bank, a Citibank branch on Wilshire Boulevard and a Wells Fargo branch also on Wilshire Boulevard.

He was wearing a light-colored tank top and a baseball cap. He was also seen carrying a dark-colored backpack during the crimes.

The suspect is described as a 35- to 42-year-old Hispanic male between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 210 inches tall, weighing about 180 to 185 pounds.

Witnesses said he had several visible tattoos, including one on his neck that said "Down4theSickness."
