10 gang members charged with O.C. beating

COSTA MESA, Calif. /*Costa Mesa*/ authorities said the victim was walking with a friend on Sept. 4 when he was confronted by the group. They reportedly jumped the man, kicking and punching him and fracturing and cutting his face. The victim's friend managed to run away.

The group reportedly mentioned being members of a gang right before the attack.

Ten men in their late teens or 20s were arrested at a nearby house. They face a number of charges including assault with a deadly weapon.
