Man sought in connection to burned Porsche

LONG BEACH, Calif. The man was seen Thursday afternoon speaking at a shopping center in Long Beach with the sport utility vehicle's owner.

"We'd like to identify that individual to see if he can help us learn what the vehicle's registered owner's activities were," said Sgt. Frank Bell of the /*San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department*/.

Investigators passed out fliers with the man's image at the shopping center hoping someone can identify the man.

Detectives said they are treating the discovery of a body found inside the burning Porsche as a homicide.

The SUV's owner withdrew a large sum of money, investigators said.

The California Highway Patrol received reports of a vehicle on fire on the Glen Helen Parkway onramp to the southbound 15 Freeway about 10:15 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found the Porsche Cayenne engulfed in flames.

The man seen in the video is described as being around 6-foot-1, 325 pounds with a short pony tail, possibly Hispanic or Samoan.
