Man, woman found dead in South L.A. area

ATHENS, Calif. The /*Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department*/ responded to a shooting call on Harvard Boulevard between 126th and 127th streets just before 2:30 a.m.

Officers were told that a man was waiting with a gun on the front porch. When they got to the house, the man was cooperative and surrendered.

Inside the house, authorities found the bodies of the suspect's wife and son. The victims' identities have not yet been released.

The motive for the shooting is still being investigated.
