LONG BEACH, Calif. --
Water service was restored Friday afternoon in the Long Beach Harbor area after oil was found in one of the water pipelines earlier this week.Officials said they have repeatedly tested water samples from the impacted area and said that it is safe to use.
The water service interruption on Wednesday only affected businesses at the Port of Long Beach. While authorities were testing the water, workers were warned to only drink bottled water.
Residents outside of the port were not affected and no health issues were reported.
