Gardena check-cash-biz armed robbers sought

Police are searching for two armed gunmen who robbed a Gardena check-cashing business on Oct. 15.

Police are searching for two armed gunmen who robbed a Gardena check-cashing business on Oct. 15.Two suspects robbed a check-cashing business on the 15300 block of Western Ave. at approximately 9:45 a.m. The two men are suspected of being involved in other South Bay robberies.

Security cameras at Orange Rocket Check Cashing caught the two armed robbers on tape.

The first suspect was not wearing a mask. He is described as an African-American male in his 40s, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds, with black and gray facial hair. During the robbery he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirts and dark pants.

The second suspect was wearing a mask. He is described as an African-American male younger than the first suspect, standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, wearing light-gray hooded sweatshirt with vertical stripes, and designer jeans.
