Woman struck, killed in Van Nuys hit-and-run

VAN NUYS, Calif. A woman in her 60s was struck in a crosswalk at the corner of Van Nuys and Victory boulevards just after 5:30 a.m.

She died at the scene. Her name has not been released.

Police said the SUV drove off after striking the victim.

Witnesses described a white or cream-colored four-door Ford Explorer leaving the scene.
