Public viewing held for fallen LAPD officer

LOS ANGELES The viewing will begin at 2 p.m. at the Los Angeles Police Department headquarters on 100 W. First St. in downtown Los Angeles.

Cullins joined the police department in July 2008.

The 28-year-old was serving with the Marines in Afghanistan when he was killed in October.

Cullins' unit was called in to check out a roadside bomb that had detonated. He was killed when a secondary device went off.

Funeral services are planned for Wednesday in Westlake Village.
