SAN DIEGO, Calif. --
Funeral services were held Thursday for the San Diego police officer killed in a shootout last week.About 800 police cars took part in a procession across San Diego.
Christopher Wilson, 50, was ambushed by a gunman while helping the U.S. Marshals flush out a fugitive assault suspect.
The suspected gunman and his girlfriend were later found dead inside the apartment.
Officer Wilson is survived by a 17-year-old son and 20-year-old daughter.
Dignitaries at the memorial included Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Governor-elect Jerry Brown.
