MSNBC's Olbermann suspended for donations

Cable-news network MSNBC has indefinitely suspended "Countdown" host Keith Olbermann for donating money to political campaigns.Olbermann donated $2,400 each to Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway and Arizona Representatives Raul Grivalva and Gabrielle Giffords, all Democrats.

MSNBC forbids its employees from donating to or working on political campaigns without explicit consent from the news division president. MSNBC did not find out about Olbermann's donations until after the election.

Olbermann's show, "Countdown," is MSNBC's most popular program.
