2 teens injured in Huntington Beach crash

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. when a blue 2007 Toyota Scion was speeding eastbound on Yorktown Ave., passing through Magnolia Street.

The driver lost control of the car, broke into the westbound lanes and crashed into a cinder block wall in the corner of Yorktown and Lola Lane.

The younger passenger sustained serious injuries and was transported to UCI Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition. The driver sustained minor injuries and was in stable condition.

Upon investigation, authorities determined that speed was a factor in the crash, but officials were still investigating the incident.
