Schwarzenegger talks to Leno about Prop 19

LOS ANGELES "No one cares if you smoke a joint or not, but this Proposition 19 went a little bit too far, I think. You know it was written badly," the governor told Jay Leno on the show that aired Monday night.

Five weeks ago, /*Schwarzenegger*/ signed a law that made possession of up to an ounce of marijuana the equivalent of a traffic ticket.

The violation carries a penalty of no more than a $100 fine and no arrest or criminal record.

On Election Day, voters rejected Proposition 19, which would have allowed adults 21 and older to possess and grow small amounts of /*marijuana*/.
