'Twilight' leads People's Choice nominations

The vampire saga "Twilight" led the pack in nominations for the 2011 People's Choice Awards, announced Tuesday morning.The film garnered eight nominations, picking up one for favorite movie, favorite drama, as well as starring team Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. All three are also nominated individually and Stewart and Pattinson a third time for stars under 25.

Robert Downey, Jr. also made a fine showing with three nods for his performance in last summer's "Iron Man 2." The mind-bending, "Inception" will compete for favorite movie, favorite drama and favorite ensemble for stars Leonardo diCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy and Dileep Rao.

In the television categories, "Grey's Anatomy" was nominated for favorite TV drama, individual acting for Patrick Dempsey and Sandra Oh and three nods for favorite TV doctor for Dempsey, Oh and Ellen Pompeo.

The winners will be decided by an online poll open until Dec. 7. The People's Choice Awards will be presented Jan. 5, 2011 on CBS. the running with two nominations each.
