Agency orders inspection of A380 engines

LOS ANGELES An A380 belonging to Qantas Airlines had to make an emergency landing last week after an engine failed.

The European Aviation Safety Agency said the problem may have been caused by an oil fire.

It's ordering new examinations for any aircraft using the Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines, and it said any planes with suspicious leaks must be grounded.

/*Qantas*/ said it has already found small oil leaks on three of the engines in its fleet.
