Guard members meet in O.C. before deployment

ANAHEIM, Calif. The deployment ceremony for the 640th Aviation Support Battalion was held at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The citizen soldiers are expected to muster at Fort Hood in Texas Sunday for final training and other preparations.

Once the soldiers arrive near Baghdad later in November, they are slated to replace another part of the 640th Battalion as well as the 1-140th Air Assault Battalion which deployed to Iraq from Los Angeles in October.
