Semifinals time for 'Dancing With the Stars'

LOS ANGELES Brandy, Jennifer Grey, Bristol Palin and Kyle Massey are all vying for the mirror ball trophy.

All of the contestants have been working hard, but they'll need to step it up again when each couple performs two dances on Monday's show.

Grey and her partner Derek Hough earned the season's first perfect score with their Rumba last week. They're seeking perfection again this week with the Waltz and the Cha Cha.

"I feel like the two dances is a little more fun, it kind of takes the pressure off of one because then it's equally divided into two," said Grey.

"We've had kind of a roller coaster ride this season, but we're hoping that this last stretch is going to be the important one and the exciting one. It's been exciting to see her kind of push through and make it," said Hough.

With this week's Argentine Tango and Paso Doble, Brandy hopes to make it all the way to the championship so her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, can finally take home one of those mirror ball trophies.

"I'm telling you, I wanna win it so bad for Maks, you don't even understand," said Brandy. "He has deserved it so many times. And I just think he has a lot of children out there that look up to him that he teaches and just to take that back to them and show them what a great accomplishment, that would just be awesome and I would love to be the person to do it for him," said Brandy.

Professional dancer Lacey Schwimmer spent the week teaching Massey the Argentine Tango and the Samba.

"The dances are very long and they're very difficult, however we have so much fun in the studio and that's what we have to continue to do otherwise we're going to get stressed out. And that's not fun," said Schwimmer.

"We'll get crazy otherwise," added Massey.

While Palin and her partner Mark Ballas have the Waltz and the Paso Doble.

"They are very different. The Waltz is slow and elegant and beautiful, and then the Paso Doble is fierce and veracious and sexy and all about fighting bulls. But you fight moose" said Ballas.

"I do fight moose, and I fight bears," said Palin.

Ballas has been tweeting about how hard they've been practicing.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin tweeted that she will be in the audience to cheer on her daughter. "Dancing With the Stars" alum Margaret Cho, Debi Mazar, Florence Henderson, and Susan Lucci, along with her "All My Children" co-star Ricky Paul Goldin, will also be in the audience.

"Dancing With the Stars" starts at 8 p.m. on ABC7.
