Not everyone likes the idea. One man came to buy a truck but said no thanks to the rifle. He remembers getting shot at by AK-47s in Vietnam.
"AK-47s have a reputation in people's minds. So, I came up with that to be a little controversial, to cause a little buzz, and I think I've accomplished that," said Ginetta.
Ginetta said that since the promotion was announced on Veterans Day, business has more than doubled at Nations Trucks in Sanford.
Customers would have to pass a background check before using the $400 gun shop voucher.
He said if somebody doesn't want the gun, then he'll give them $400 cash instead.
The promotion runs through the end of November.
