Agency takes partial blame for IE race crash

LOMA LINDA, Calif. A fan's camera was rolling in August as the chaos unfolded during the California 200 race.

Hundreds of horrified fans watched as a racer lost control and rolled his truck sideways into spectators.

The bureau said on Friday that its local field office failed to properly monitor and prepare for the race.

It added that a ranger, assigned to patrol the area, did not monitor the event properly.

The agency did not say if the ranger faces disciplinary action.
