Jennifer Jason Leigh recently filed for divorce from director Noah Baumbach, the father of their 7-month-old son, citing irreconcilable differences.
The 48-year-old actress, whose real name is Jennifer Morrow, and Baumbach, 41, wed in Los Angeles in September 2005. This was their first marriage.
Leigh is seeking spousal support and primary custody of their son, Rohmer, who is their only child together, according to People magazine, which carried the report. Under the deal, Baumbach would have visitation rights.
The magazine said the couple met in New York while Leigh performed in the Broadway show "Proof" in 2001 and co-wrote the 2010 "Greenberg", which she also starred in and which featured Ben Stiller as the main character. Leigh has appeared in movies such as "The Machinist" and "Road to Perdition".
