"Apparently, he stumbled into a side house or a spare room of a house. He was located by the owner of the residence," said an officer.
The search began at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday after a family member reported the boy missing. The boy was last seen in his home around 1:30 a.m. After searching for him on their own, the family members decided to call police.
Authorities said they started a 3-mile radius search for the boy using helicopters and bloodhounds.
Neighbors also helped with the search by going door-to-door.
