LOS ANGELES --
The Los Angeles Dodgers have finalized a $21 million, three-year contract with infielder Juan Uribe. The 31-year-old player hit .248 with 24 homers and 85 RBIs in 2010 while playing in 148 games, including 103 at shortstop. He homered and drove in five runs during the World Series for the San Francisco Giants, who beat the Texas Rangers.
The Dodgers general manager has said that the team will have a budget that will allow them to compete in 2011.
Dodgers owners Frank and Jamie McCourt are in the middle of a divorce dispute about who will maintain ownership of the team.
