Now that she's done cheering on boyfriend Rick Fox from the sidelines of "Dancing With the Stars", Eliza Dushku is eyeing a return to television.
The former "Dollhouse" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star recently landed the lead role in a TNT pilot called "Bird Dog."
Dushku, who is no stranger to action roles, will play a small-town cop who ends up with her estranged big-city cop father as her partner, according to Deadline.
The actress' character is named Gail McGrath. McGrath shunned her big town upbringing to move to a small Pacific Northwestern town. "Bird-Dog" references to the duo's call sign in the show.
The last time Dushku was seen on the small screen was in a guest stint on "The Big Bang Theory." Meanwhile actor Dan Aykroyd recently confirmed that Dushku was a 'strong possibility' to be cast in "Ghostbusters 3," according to MTV.
